Miradouro da Quinta 

We begin the day in Funchal, heading first to the Miradouro da Quinta, where you’ll enjoy sweeping views over the bay and the Atlantic Ocean. From here, the landscape gradually changes as we leave the urban area behind and start climbing into the mountains.

Using old royal paths and secondary roads, we avoid the main routes and immerse ourselves in Madeira’s quieter side.

Poiso - Coffee Break

At Poiso, surrounded by fresh mountain air and forest scenery, we make a short stop for a coffee break. This marks the transition into the Laurissilva forest zone, where the island becomes greener, calmer and more untouched. 

Ribeiro Frio Viewpoint 

The journey continues towards Ribeiro Frio, one of the greenest and most emblematic areas of Madeira.

At the Ribeiro Frio Viewpoint, you’ll be surrounded by towering Laurissilva trees, moss-covered branches and the peaceful sounds of nature. It’s the perfect moment to slow down, take photos and breathe the pure forest air of one of the island’s most precious ecosystems.

Cova da Roda - Off-Road 

From here, the adventure intensifies as we enter the Cova da Roda off-road trail.

This exciting yet scenic 4x4 route winds through dense forest and remote terrain, offering an authentic off-road experience while remaining smooth and enjoyable. It’s a true connection with Madeira’s wild interior.

Quinta do Furão Viewpoint 

We then reach the impressive Quinta do Furão viewpoint, where dramatic cliffs plunge into the Atlantic Ocean and the north coast reveals itself in all its raw beauty.

This is one of the most spectacular coastal views of the day.

Boca das Voltas Viewpoint 

After lunch, we continue along the remote Boca das Voltas off-road trail, one of the most tranquil and untouched sections of the tour.

This area is ideal for nature lovers seeking silence, authenticity and a deeper connection with the island. The forest gradually opens as we head towards the northeast coast.

Miradouro de São Vicente (Rosário) 

The tour concludes in São Vicente, at the Rosário viewpoint, surrounded by vineyards, mountains and volcanic landscapes.

This final stop showcases the rural charm and natural beauty of Madeira’s north coast, providing a calm and memorable ending to a day filled with discovery, adventure and serenity.
